Metal, wooden or resin: choosing a shed material
Metal and galvanised steel sheds are the largest part of our range. Galvanised steel resists rust and needs little upkeep, and most models come with a floor foundation kit, ventilation slots and lockable double doors. Wooden sheds, including fir wood models with asphalt or hinged roofs, suit a more traditional garden look and work well as potting or tool cabinets. Resin and plastic wood-effect sheds combine a timber appearance with a low-maintenance, weather-resistant finish, often with windows and lockable doors.
Sizing your shed
Smaller lean-to and tool sheds from around 3 x 3ft to 5 x 3ft tuck against a wall or fence to store bins, tools and garden chemicals without taking up the lawn. Mid-size sheds around 6 x 4ft to 8 x 6ft hold a mower, bikes and larger equipment, while bigger 9 x 6ft to 12 x 8ft sheds give walk-in room for a workshop or bulky kit. Measure your space and allow clearance for the doors to open fully before you choose a size.
Security, weatherproofing and features
Many of our sheds include lockable doors, a floor foundation kit to anchor the structure, and vents to reduce condensation; several add windows for natural light. For bikes and motorbikes we also stock roll-up-door storage tents and lean-to covers as a lighter-weight alternative.
